Our time in Joplin was emotional and full of joy! To see a community being rebuilt was a once in a lifetime experience! Extreme Makeover Home Edition surprised the wonderful people of this community with not only a new neighborhood but the hope for a beautiful new future. These seven families, that have already lost so much from loved ones to homes, have a chance to rebuild what has been lost, and there is not enough words in the dictionary to say thank you for that!

It was an honor to have a chance to not only visit Joplin and photograph a few of the families affected by the tornado last year, but a few months ago at the wrap of the show, myself along with a few other wonderful photographers from the Missouri area had the opportunity to photograph the beautiful houses from Extreme Makeover Home Edition on ABC at their completion! It was amazing to see these works of art, from the lovely designs to the personal touches, including the so important storm shelter, not a single detail was missed. I look forward to my next visit to Joplin, here’s to the hope for a beautiful and bright future for the Joplin community!
