Wow, what an amazing time we all had this year at The Wedding Retreat 2016 in Charleston South Carolina!

From the amazing attendees to our gorgeous beach house, it was quite the weekend! Our attendees traveled in from New York to Texas and they were all such talented ladies! We spent three full days teaching everything we knew about Wedding Photography and then some.

Day one we walked all the photographers through a normal wedding day! We discussed the wedding day prep and how to set yourself up for success in each given part of a wedding day.

Day two we headed out to the gorgeous Magnolia Plantation and Gardens for a beautiful sunrise Engagement Session! Not only did we share tips and tricks for capturing those natural emotive portraits, but we invited a second couple along just for our attendees to photograph and practice all they had learned!

After some lunch to refuel ourselves from the busy (and early!) morning, we all headed to the back yard of our beautiful Charleston beach house to get some hands on education when photographing a wedding day! We covered everything from getting ready photos to those exciting night portraits at the end of the day!

And finally on our third day, we covered everything a good business owner should know for running a profitable and sustainable wedding photography business!

This year was an absolute blast and I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing it was to share our love of wedding photography with our amazing attendees! Charleston, you are a dream and we can’t wait to photography those beautiful beaches again!
