  1. Hi Catherine!

My fiancé, Craig, and I met about 3 years ago. I was stuck in a pretty lonely and monotonous chapter of my life, and I was beginning to lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. I was a supervisor at a local Bistro and sick of my job, sick of school and sick of not really having anything to do in my rare free time. This all changed, however, when a new employee started at the Bistro. Of course, I immediately thought he was oh-so-cute, and he still claims that when he first met me he “knew that this girl would be important to him in some way.” Having tons of shifts together, many of which were one-on-one time, we quickly became very good friends, and I suddenly had something to look forward to everyday (not to mention that that something was going in to work… who knew work could be exciting!). The summer hit, and so did my dreaded break from work. I knew the area where Craig said he lived, and I jogged those streets every week, just hoping that I’d time it right when he’d walk out of one of those houses. But soon I received an invitation to hang out with him and his friends. A night of beer and Wii Bowling sealed the deal. I loved him. I loved his friends. I loved this new chapter I had just begun. I was a very happy girl. We grew closer and remained best friends for almost a year before we took the plunge into a “real” relationship (you know, facebook official… the important stuff), and the rest is history. He’s my best friend, my saving grace and my soul mate. I used to make fun of people for saying things like “love at first sight” and “soul mate,” but in this case, I really don’t know what other phrase to use. Whether we’re out on a fancy date or laying in our PJs on the couch with our “children” (Samson the Beagle and Lilly the tabby cat), every moment with him is a moment I want to last forever. Please consider us for your “It Couple,” because after all this time I’ve finally discovered what “It” means.

He teamed up with my dad (aaawww) to plan out the when, where and how to capture the moment when he proposed. My family owns land and we deer hunt every year. It’s a huge get together of family and fun that Craig has been a part of for 2 years. He knew how special this time of the year is for me, and he wanted my family to be able to be involved and enjoy the moment as well. My mom cried and gave a speech that night about how she loves that Craig knows me well enough to know exactly how I wanted to be proposed to: near family, friends and good food.
