LIGHT LIGHT AND MORE LIGHT!

Look for bright beautiful spaces filled with natural window light! If you adore the style you see throughout our site, you’ll want to keep light in mind when planning your getting ready location! Yes, of course we can bring the light, but using artificial lights can sometimes limit our time and your space space depending on what we need to set up. When we walk into a room filled with beautiful light, we can jump right into photographing those sweet moments!

We find some of the best bright rooms in Airbnbs and home settings!

Space For Your Wedding Party

The more space the better when it comes to larger Bridal parties! If your friends and family, who are helping you begin your day, have room to spread out, then that means the space won’t be cluttered and overcrowded. Also keep in mind that if your Hair and Makeup team is meeting you at this location, you’ll want to have a separate room or space for them!

Light Colored Interiors

Lighter colored interiors help with that bright and airy feel throughout the space! Darker interiors tend to draw attention and can also create a heavier look throughout the room. Think white washed rooms, light colored furniture and all the windows for that bright and airy glow!

Distance To Groom/Partner Getting Ready Location

Since you’ll absolutely want photos from both getting ready locations, it’s great to keep this in mind when reserving rooms or airbnbs for the start of the day! The closer the couple is to one another, the easier it is for my to bounce between the two locations. Otherwise my Second Photographer will need to focus on the second location alone.

If you are hoping to have a First Look moment soon after Getting Ready photos, you’ll also want these locations to be close to one another to save on time and stress!

Outside Space

Finally, we absolutely understand if the ideal location doesn’t hit all these goals above! We are professionals and will make sure to capture your day to the best of our abilities, no matter the space! If the location you’ve chosen for your Getting Ready space doesn’t offer light and bright spaces, we may want to take the Getting Ready moments outdoors! So trust us if we ask you to finish putting on your Bridal details in the backyard, those images will be beautiful!
