I’m so happy to hear that the word is finally getting out about Joplin Smile and families are really starting to fill up those sessions with photographers over the next few months! It’s such a blessing to provide this sort of comfort to a community that has lost so much and I know all the photographers involved are overwhelmed with the local support to get the word out!

The Ortiz family met with me the weekend I traveled down to Joplin and shared their tough story not only for my ears but for a news crew as well in the hopes that other families would take part in such an amazing program like Joplin Smile! Kristi was actually riding home on her bike as the sirens were going off that day, lucky bike I must say! You can see that they are both so thankful to be well and to have one another in their lives that things can only get better and brighter from here on out! Kristi and her family are currently rebuilding their home that was lost in the tornado and I wish them all the happiness for what’s to come in the future!
