Where to begin… Sarah and Karl’s wedding was one of the most heartfelt experiences I’ve ever had the opportunity to photograph! If you have the chance to attend a Quaker ceremony, DO, it is absolutely beautiful. Not only does the couple marry themselves with self written vows, but there’s a long moment of silence and meditation when family and friends are welcome to share their well wishes for the newly weds! Although I couldn’t photograph the ceremony itself, there were many tears and it truly showed me the love and admiration everyone had for this sweet couple!
Along with a lovely ceremony, the day itself was set on a 150+ year old Quaker Farm and Meeting house that’s owned by Sarah’s Grandfather just an hour or so outside of Philadelphia. All the getting ready images took place in the original house that was built when the farm was initially established, which is amazing in and of itself. I met Sarah and Karl for the first time that afternoon and they were so excited to become husband and wife!
Here’s Part One of their beautiful day, stay tuned for more lovely images coming tomorrow!
Part two coming soon!
